This past year has been nothing short of a nightmare for some homeowners. Homeowners found themselves over their head in their mortgage. Some lost their jobs and weren’t able to make their payments while others were in over their heads from the get go. Foreclosure homes were popping up left and right with some states such as California and Arizona hit harder than others. However, based upon recent news, I think things are looking better for both the commercial real estate market and the personal real estate market.

Speaking of California, over the last month the number of foreclosure homes have dropped. As I said, this is one of the reasons why I think that things are looking up. I feel if the lenders can help remedy the situation in California, surely they can help the nation as a whole. I am optimist that this will happen.

In reality, lenders lose money on foreclosures. it is not necessarily in the best interest of the homeowner, but the lender to avoid foreclosures. Remember, lenders aren’t Realtors. They are not in the business of selling of homes.

Do you think that there is a second phase of foreclosure homes coming our way? I don’t. Most experts agree. We have the government stepping in. What are they doing? Well, they are putting pressure on the lenders. I have to say that this helps everyone. It helps the lenders because they stop losing money. It helps the borrowers because they get to stay in their homes.

Now, I am not saying that all of these foreclosurese cleaned up immediately. Yes, it may take years. But the signs are there that things are improving. Soon, the property listings won’t be filled with a bunch of foreclosure homes.

I tell you this because homeowners may be able to start to breathe easier now. Yes, we do have a ways to go, but my advice is that we are on the road to recovery as far as foreclosure homes go.

If by chance you do find yourself in a bad situation and are not sure about the foreclosure process, my advice is to first take a deep breath. Then, schedule an appointment with your lender. They may now have some options for you. These real estate lenders may now be willing to work with you and provide you with options to save your home. I think the news is great for those wanting to save their home.

Not that I’m suggesting they used to be gourmet cuisine, of course, but they seemed to be much more flavoursome back when they were produced by Golden Wonder. Now they’re very bland.
Why on earth did they remove the salt content? If I wanted to eat healthily (like I do 80% of the time) I wouldn't buy a Pot Noodle! Haha!

It’s a bit of both I fear - the pot noodles have ruined your taste buds! Try eating some REAL noodles with your own bit of mince.

The cordon bleu school in France is a famous school that teaches how to make gourmet French food. Is there a similar school in China (or elsewhere) for Chinese food?

There are actually TONS of cooking schools in China, but to know how to cook real Chinese food, you must learn from the people. I spent 6 months in China after culinary school in America wandering around from town to town and asking people how they cooked things and you’d be amazed how much you can learn. The best cooking isn’t learned from a school, it’s learned from the people.

hmm you might want to start on the easy side and not jump into the gourmet. however if you want to cook something easy that tastes like gourmet, you cant go wrong with this recipe! even my kids love it!

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 Tablespoon olive oil
12 oz. cremini mushrooms, quartered
1/3 cup diced Canadian bacon
1 cup dry red wine
1 cup chicken broth
1 Tablespoon tomato paste
PREPARATION:
1. In a large zip-lock plastic bag, combine the flour, thyme, and salt. Add chicken and shake to coat.

2. Over med-high heat in a large non-stick skillet, heat oil. Add chicken and cook until browned ~ about 8 minutes.
Remove.

3. Add mushrooms and bacon and sauté 2 minutes.

4. Stir in the wine, broth and tomato paste and cook 10 minutes.

5. Return chicken to the pan; cook 8 minutes.
To serve:
Serve at once with some quick mashed potatoes (frozen or in the refrigerator section) and a salad.
